On Thursday 12th June 2003 the Radio Authority made their final decision about which of the two competing stations would be awarded the Licence for Helensburgh and surrounding areas.

Unfortunately, Peninsula FM were unsuccessful in their application with the license being awarded to the Dumbarton based Castle Rock FM and we wish them well.

Peninsula FM would like to thank everybody in Helensburgh and surrounding areas who showed their support for Peninsula FM, through letters of support, attending our out-door events and understand they will be as disappointed as we are.
